What to choose for Mobile Graphics

GTX 1080M

The best mobile Graphic chip available right now and nothing even close offered by the Competition AMD.If you want your laptop to run all the games without tweaking any settings and don’t care about the price then this is the Graphic spec to go for but be sure to pair it with a good mobile processor. You can play most of the Games in Ultra HD resolution  so remember to buy a laptop with an ultra HD or 4k screen  if you choose GTX1080M as you wont be able to make full use of the Graphics chip if you buy a lower resolution display.

GTX 1070M

This is the Graphics Card to go for if you want the best mobile Graphics but cannot afford the GTX 1080M.Roughly 30% less than GTX 1080M give or take but  still able to run the best games of 2016 and very well future proof. You can play most of the latest games in ultra HD but some games you might be better off lowering the resolution to achieve playable frame rates.A 1080 resolution screen recommended with GTX1070 as future games will take even more toll on the Chip so pairing a GTX 1070 with a Full HD Screen is optimal .

GTX 1060M

Want to play all of your games in Full HD without breaking the bank  than go for this Graphics card paired with a Full HD Screen. You should be able to play most of the current games in Full HD without a problem. If you plan to game in ultra HD resolution then go for  GTX 1080M.

GTX 1050 Ti

The GTX 1050 Ti surpasses previous generation GTX 970 m in performance in most of the Game benchmarks and falls just below the GTX 980M by around 10 percent. With this Graphics you should be able to play most of the Games in Full HD but you might have to tweak the Graphic setting for newer games. The GTX 1050Ti is around 25 percent faster than GTX1050 so it depends on how much of  a price difference there is between the two and which is more widely available.More efficient and less power consuming than GTX 980 m or GTX 970 m. Going with this card is a no brainer if you have to choose between the GTX 970m and GTX 1050ti.

GTX 1050

Performs faster than GTX 965M in most of the game benchmarks but a little slower than GTX 970M.Laptops with this card should be more popular as they should be more affordable and provide good gaming capability at lower prices to the masses ..The GTX 1050Ti is around 25 percent faster than GTX1050 so it depends on how much of  a price difference there is between the two and which is more widely available.Laptops with this chip should be very good value for money as compared to laptops with GTX 965M which were relatively expensive. Easily beats the GTX 960M and GTX 950M by considerable margins.

GTX 980 (Laptop)

This Graphics chip without the m suffix was released after GTX 980M and GTX 970M and before the GTX 1000 series. This is based on the desktop GTX 980 and the performance of this chip is above the GTX 1060M but below GTX 1070M and GTX 108M.So keep in mind the performance of the chip before you buy any from the 1000 series as it performs above GTX 1060M.This chip is powerful enough for VR (Oculus rift) and a laptop with this chip is still quite formidable for current games. The power consumption of this chip is very high which should be taken into consideration.

GTX 980M

GTX 980M was the previous generation flagship before the GTX 980 (without the M suffix) was released. The GTX 980M is slower than GTX 1060M in all games so you should buy this only if you’re getting good value for money and if a laptop with GTX 980M is cheaper than a laptop with a GTX 1060M assuming other specs are the same or similar. Not recommended for using with Oculus Rift.

GTX 970M

30 percent slower than the GTX 980M and was the second best graphics mobile chip before the 1000 series but can still play current games at high settings and performance falls just below the GTX 1050 Ti.
